I was recently nominated by my friend Stephen Kent, to take part in the “22 Pushups in 22 Days Challenge”.
What is this challenge about? It’s to bring awareness to the fact that, every day, an average of 22 veterans commit suicide.
And that’s just in the United States alone!!
I hate to think how large this number is, when you count all veterans from all countries around the world.
To bring awareness to this issue, I will be doing 22 pushups each day, for 22 days, and nominating one person per day to do the same. Also, after doing this, I realized that I am REALLY out of shape. So this will be a transformational journey for me as well.
Having a Grandfather who served during World War II, many family and friends who served, including my husband who is a veteran of the US Navy, it is my honor to do what I can to bring awareness, so we can help our veterans, who put their lives on the line so we can enjoy our freedom.
Even though I am in the United States, I am doing this challenge in honor of all veterans around the world.
Today I am nominating my brother, David Tasche, to take part in the 22 Pushups in 22 Days Challenge.
