The real game starts after the click
Getting someone to grab your tiny asset is a win.
But it’s just the beginning.
Most people either ghost their new subscribers
for weeks, or they immediately slam them with a
hard pitch that feels like a bait‑and‑switch.
Ninja don’t disappear, and they don’t ambush.
They stay present, steady, and useful—so when they
do make a move, it feels natural.
Think “conversation,” not “campaign”
Instead of obsessing over perfect funnels, think in
terms of a short, clear conversation.
When someone requests your asset, they’re basically
saying:
“I have this specific problem. Show me you
understand it and can help.”
Your job over the next few emails is to:
-
Confirm they’re in the right place
-
Deepen their understanding of the problem
-
Show a few simple paths forward
-
Invite them to take a next step (even if it’s
small)
That’s it. No drama required.
A simple 3‑email follow‑up flow
Here’s a basic ninja‑style follow‑up you can build
around your asset:
Email 1 – Delivery + context
-
Send the asset.
-
Remind them what it helps them avoid or achieve.
-
Share one short line about why you made it (“I saw
too many affiliates burning cash on… ”).
Email 2 – One key insight
-
Pull out one important idea from the asset.
-
Tell a quick story or example from your own
experience. -
Ask a simple question they can answer in their
head (“Have you ever…?”).
Email 3 – Next step
-
Recap the problem and what they’ve learned so far.
-
Offer a logical next step: another free resource,
a low‑pressure offer, or just staying tuned for
more issues of the newsletter.
You can expand this later, but three focused emails
can already do a lot of heavy lifting.
One small move for this week
Here’s your assignment:
-
Write a rough outline for those 3 emails
specific to your asset (just bullets, not full
copy). -
Decide what the “next step” is after Email 3
right now. It doesn’t have to be a paid offer. It
could be:-
“Hit reply and tell me your biggest challenge
with X.” -
“Watch for the next issue of this newsletter on
[day].”
-
-
Block off one or two of your protected 30‑minute
sessions this week to draft Email 1 only.
You don’t have to wire up a full automation
immediately. Start by writing the follow‑up as if
you were emailing one person you actually care
about.
What’s coming next
In the next issue, we’ll talk about what to pay
attention to once your asset and follow‑up are in
motion—simple signals that tell you what’s working,
what’s not, and where to focus your limited energy
next.
