A light re‑introduction (without the cringe)

Issue #42 – Thursday, May 7, 2026

### People forget — that’s normal

Even if you’ve been sending
for a while, most readers
aren’t tracking your whole
story.

They dip in and out.
They miss issues.
Life pulls their focus away.

Every so often, it helps to
lightly remind them:

Who you are,
who this is for,
and what they can expect
from you.

Not with a big speech — just
with a simple re‑introduction.

### Answer three quiet questions

In a re‑introduction moment,
your reader is unconsciously
asking:

– “Who is this person again?”
– “Why are they in my inbox?”
– “What do I get from staying
on this list?”

You can answer those in a few
plain lines:

– Who you help.
– What you help with.
– How your approach is a bit
different.
– What kind of emails you send
(and how often).

Short, calm, future‑focused.

### Weave it into a normal email

You don’t have to send a big
“let me tell you my whole
life” message.

You can:

– Start one issue with a short
“quick re‑intro” paragraph,
then move into your normal
lesson.
– Or add a little “About me /
About this newsletter” box
near the top or bottom.

For example:

“Quick reminder in case you’re
new here:
I help [who] with [what],
using [your style] so they
can [benefit].”

Then straight back to value.

It feels natural, not needy.

### One small move for this week

Here’s your assignment:

1) Write a **3–4 line
re‑intro** for yourself that
covers:
– who you help,
– what you help with,
– how you tend to do it.

2) In one of your next issues,
drop that mini re‑intro near
the top, then continue with
your usual story, lesson,
and tiny move.

3) Reuse or lightly tweak that
re‑intro every so often
(for example, every couple
of months, or when you’ve
had a growth spurt in new
subscribers).

You’re making it easier for
people to remember why they
raised their hand for you.

### What’s coming next

In the next issue, we’ll talk
about how to **gently invite
readers to share your work** —
so word of mouth and forwarding
become part of your growth,
without turning every email
into a hard ask.

Ninpo Ikkan!!
